French Martini
Ingredientes

- Raspberry Liqueur 1.5 cl
- Pineapple juice 1.5 cl
Instrucciones
Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Squeeze oil from lemon peel onto the drink.
El French Martini es un clásico IBA New Era Drinks que combina vodka, licor de frambuesa y zumo de piña, agitado y servido en una copa de cóctel fría. History & Origins
The French Martini was created by Keith McNally at his New York bar Balthazar in the 1980s, though some accounts attribute it to a broader New York scene trend of the era. It became a global phenomenon during the 1990s cocktail revival and was recognized by the IBA as a New Era Drinks classic. The name reflects its French-influenced chic style rather than any French ingredients.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: fresh raspberry and tropical pineapple with a clean vodka spirit note. Palate: sweet and fruity with the raspberry liqueur providing berry depth and the pineapple juice contributing tropical sweetness and a light, foamy texture. Finish: clean, fruity, and moderately sweet with a fading vodka warmth.
Pro Tip
Shake vigorously for at least 15 seconds with plenty of ice to generate the creamy pineapple foam on top, and strain into a well-chilled cocktail glass using a fine-mesh strainer.
