Ingredientes
- Cachaca 60 ml
- Lime 1
- Elderflower cordial 3 cl
Instrucciones
Take the glass and muddle the lime in it. Fill the glass with crushed ice and add the Cachaca. Stir well and top with some more crushed ice. Garnish with lime and enjoy!
La Elderflower Caipirinha es una variación contemporánea del cóctel nacional de Brasil, sustituyendo el azúcar tradicional por cordial de flor de saúco para añadir una delicada dulzura floral a la base de cachaça y lima majada. La cachaça, el aguardiente de caña de azúcar de Brasil, aporta un carácter herbáceo y ligeramente funky que combina maravillosamente con la aromática flor de saúco. La bebida se prepara directamente en el vaso sobre hielo picado.
History & Origins
The classic Caipirinha has been Brazil's national cocktail since at least the early 20th century, traditionally made with cachaca, lime, and sugar. The elderflower variation is a modern European-influenced adaptation that became popular in the 2000s as St-Germain and elderflower cordials gained wide availability in the cocktail world. Its precise origin is disputed.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: fresh muddled lime, grassy and slightly funky cachaca, and the floral, honeyed scent of elderflower. Palate: vibrant and citrus-forward with the earthy cachaca spirit balanced by the aromatic sweetness of the elderflower cordial. Finish: clean, floral, and tart with a lingering lime zest.

Muddle the lime aggressively in the glass to release both the juice and the aromatic oils from the peel, and pack the glass with crushed ice for the authentic Caipirinha presentation.
