In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a sour glass.

History & Origins
Casino Royale takes its name from Ian Fleming's 1953 James Bond novel, in which 007's first adventure is set. The cocktail is a variation on the classic Casino but uses egg yolk instead of egg white, which was a common technique in early 20th-century bartending to add richness. The precise origin of this specific recipe is disputed, though it appears in several mid-20th century cocktail compendiums.
