History & Origins
The original B&B (Brandy and Bénédictine) is a classic digestif created in the 1930s, and the Kentucky B and B adapts this formula for the American palate by substituting bourbon for brandy. Bénédictine, produced by the Bénédictine monks of Fécamp, France since 1863, pairs naturally with the vanilla-caramel notes common to aged American bourbon. The exact origin of this specific drink is disputed.
