Demerara Sugar

A less-refined cane sugar with a rich molasses flavor, golden-brown color, and slightly coarser texture than white sugar. Used to make a rich simple syrup with deeper, caramel-like sweetness. Preferred in Old Fashioneds, Rum cocktails, and tiki drinks for its robust flavor.
