Casino is an IBA-recognized Unforgettable cocktail that combines a generous measure of gin with a delicate measure each of maraschino liqueur and fresh lemon juice, finished with two dashes of orange bitters and garnished with a cherry and lemon twist. At 20.64% ABV, it is a balanced, aromatic gin cocktail that sits at the intersection of the martini and sour styles. History & Origins
Casino appears in Harry Craddock's Savoy Cocktail Book of 1930, making it one of the definitive cocktails of the golden age of the American Bar at the Savoy Hotel in London. The drink predates Craddock's documentation, however, with versions appearing in earlier 20th century guides. The IBA's recognition of it as an Unforgettable acknowledges its place in the historical canon of gin cocktails.
Tasting Notes
