Poppy Cocktail is a vintage American cocktail whose origins are uncertain, appearing in various bartending references from the mid-20th century. The combination of gin and white chocolate liqueur was an unusual pairing for the era, reflecting the experimental spirit of American cocktail culture between the World Wars and post-Prohibition. Its precise creator and origin are disputed and it has been largely overshadowed by more contemporary creations.
